Barossa Village has two respite beds which are Commonwealth funded. These beds are permanently reserved to provide respite accommodation for people who require short term care. Respite Accommodation is always in demand so it is important to book your Respite Accommodation as soon as you think it may be required. There are also a number of emergency short term unfunded respite beds. |

These beds are funded privately, though there may be eligibility for financial assistance through various respite organisations. The Residency Admissions Officer is able to assist with respite enquiries.
The period of respite care may vary, up to a maximum of 63 days per person within a financial year. To gain entry on a respite basis, applicants require an assessment from the government Aged Care Assessment Team Fee: There is also a daily care fee in Respite Accommodation, that is set by the Department of Health and Aging. For more information about the daily care fees please download the Residential Cost Care Form. Please note this form is updated every six months and the current form is effective 20th March 2011. |
