Our Guiding Philosophy

Barossa Village is committed to enhancing the quality of life for all people involved in our programs and services by:

  • Recognising and promoting the message that respect for human dignity adds meaning to life.
  • Providing support and advocacy so that the needs of the person are recognised, their independence and quality of life are enhanced and that their ethnicity, race , religion, gender and age are respected.
  • Offering an holistic and person centred approach.
  • Fostering independence of action and interaction between people involved in our programs and the community.
  • Providing effective communication, management and systems that assist the organisation to achieve high standards of governance.
  • Provide professional, high quality services.

Our Philosophy for Independent Retirement Living

Barossa Village's Independent Retirement Units give freedom back to Retirement Living. We build our units in small clusters that blend in with the community rather than keep them separate and restricted to just one area in the way that many other Retirement Villages are organised. This approach gives a lot more freedom back to Retirement Living but it still allows for both the security and peace of mind that comes with living in Retirement Units. It is this unique concept that has won Barossa Village an ACSA National Award of Excellence for a Retirement Living Organisation. For more information on our units please view our Independent Retirement Living Pages.
